Realism bores me.
I am interested instead in abstracting the faces where my paintings start from and extracting new identities from them. I am fascinated by encouraging change through this process: showing people that their consideration of themselves is not univocal but just one of the possible images.
The 20x20 collection's name comes from the paper size: 20x20cm recycled sheets (or modules). The paintings are made with mixed techniques: acrylic, watercolor, and chalk.
